We all do things in the heat of the moment! I was at a get-together with our doggie daycare, and this American Bulldog went after Bandit. When he had Bandit on his back other dogs got involved and I reached in to grab him out. Smart to reach my arms in growling full grown dogs with their teeth bared? No! But I knew I had to protect my Bandit. When I finally picked him up to take him away from the situation, the dog chased me (I was only walking) and kept jumping on me and growling scratching my back so bad I was bleeding. THe doggie daycare owner checked on him because he had yelped and he's not a yelper at all, and he was fine, just sore on his back leg where the dog had got him. Outside the fenced in area, the bulldog kept staring at Bandit with his teeth bared and staring at him and was totally still, and his owner was completly oblivious. Needless to say he was not allowed to come to daycare anymore! What I learned from that was that I will do stupid things to protect my dog, and I did the right thing by trying to remove him from the situation, but it wasn't the best idea.
