I am well aware that females do this also. But most people think it is a boy dog thing, because primarily it is.
I said that the MARKING was the other reason for not wanting a boy. But I have never had a neutered male that marked. I did however have a spayed female that marked.
And for the record, I don't care if you allow your dog to have her teddy.
I was telling the OP that if she wants to stop the behavior to tell him no and remove the object. If you don't want them to stop then let them have the object. The advice was given for those who wanted to stop it.
