the very first thing i will advise you to do is to get it out of your head that the dog is doing anything out of spite to you...dog's are not spiteful to humans, they have no concept of doing something just to piss you off. once you stop thinking that way, you can learn what the actual issue is.
i agree with others posting that my #1 concern would be a bladder issue because 3 pees in an hour is a lot of pee and that isn't normal
my next piece of advice if it's not a bladder problem would be that you cover your carpets with blankets for the time being and not let her down on the carpets uncovered until she is fully trained. i think you should try and train her to pee outside. it will teach her that it is completely unacceptable to pee anywhere in the house. it's much less confusing for them than potty pads IMO. my Sadie is only 15 weeks old and she can hold her bladder for 8 hours or more, she holds it all night while she sleeps in bed with us, and when we have to be gone for 8 hours which is RARELY, maybe only once every two weeks, she does hold it all day with no use of the pee pads (i had them down only when i was gone for long times) so now she's got free reign of the whole kitchen because she never goes on the floor in the x pen, so i trust her not to ever pee on the floor in there.
Sadie still has random accidents on the blankets over our carpet. i still don't know why she does that sometimes when most of the time she barks and runs to the gate and sometimes uses her bell to tell us it's potty time. but it's just part of training. they take a long time to get it...be patient. don't be frustrated with her because she is learning and getting upset will only make her scared of you and tensed up.
good luck and i really hope you can continue to teach her and she'll learn to go outside or hold it all day. try using a service bell to teach her to ring it to go out to pee. also for both your sake i pray that it's not a bladder infection...good luck |
