Like I said, what a shame, sucky situation. That you can no longer feel safe in your own backyard. Those Pits do not seem like trustworthy dogs, and I am not necessarily against any breed. They just don't seem stable. |
Oh no, I wasn't directing this to anyone in at all. LOL Sorry if you thought that. I saw that some people were implying that if your dog isn't socialized they will sometimes go crazy when another dog is near them. I just wanted to say that they are always being socialized and I hope not over socialized. I really don't worry too much about them meeting a lot of other dogs because they are 14 lbs. If they were super tiny I don't think I would want them meeting many bigger dogs.
I am glad to hear everyone's opinion about my situation. It has made me much more scared and cautious about this situation. I won't let my babies be in danger and I realized that if the pits got into our yard my babies would not have a chance against them. I put too much trust in the neighbors telling me how friendly they are and that they will not jump the fence. My husband believed them too and now I have to convince him that we have been making a big mistake.
I'm going to talk to my husband today about putting up a tall fence ASAP. Until then I am keeping them in a little penned off area where the pits won't be able to see them and continue taking them to the park for walks.
Thanks!
