Awww, I am sorry to hear that Bailey is not feeling so hot. Yes, definitely give him some soft food and maybe nutrical. If you don't have that, then try some honey or karo syrup. Also, remember he may have not eaten but he was hooked up to an iv which gives him something. Just give him lots of lovins. Also, I would call the vet as soon as you can get a hold of them and ask for some pain meds. I wish I would have done that with Hot Rod. We gave Maggie some the night of her spay as she was crying and whining. She was fine the next day. Give Bailey a big hug and kiss from us.
Can you just call another vet to ask if there is anything you can give him? Or does your vet have an answering service? Try that and maybe you can get someone to call you back.
