Did your vet send home any pain med for him? Shaking is sometimes a sign of pain and since he's just had surgery I'd figure he is in pain. I have had them get teeth done at the same time as a neuter/spay and they seem to have a little harder time of things so my vet will send them home with pain meds for over night. I have also seen animals that have had pain meds be scared and confused because they don't know why they are feeling so weird so if he's had pain meds that may be the problem. If it were me, I'd decide if my pup was aware enough to to have some Nutrical to stave off hypoglycemia to get him through a couple more hours and hold/keep them close to sooth them through their pain/confusion.
