I totally agree with giving your lab another chance. I have five dogs, 3 of which are pretty darn big (35-50+.. all cute rescued mutts!) and the 4th is only 13lbs. But I could never give up any of my other dogs bc they had an accident with Harley. If their size difference is a problem then maybe you should just try keeping them apart and train Baily to be quieter/calmer and more aware of Lexi when they are together (under your eye every time). I think it's pretty unfair to get rid of Baily just bc he's bigger. I mean, what if Lexi was aggressive and was always attacking and hurting Baily, would you get rid of Lexi for Bailys sake? (sounds outrageous that a yorkie could hurt a big dog but Harley got ticked one night and left quite a painful bite mark on one of my bf's boxers before soo..) I hope I don't sound nasty or judgmental but I just personally can't imagine parting with one of my dogs especially because of an accident. I could understand if you had a really aggressive dog that just couldn't seem to fit in even after attempted training. (been there before) It must have been very traumatizing to see your little girl so hurt but just remember that accidents do happen but we can avoid them by changing our routines/habits. Without having to part with our beloved pets.
