Do NOT feed your dog human food or let him know what it is. lol. . . That is my biggest regret. Introducing human food to Libbie. Oh and if you do decide to feed him human food decide on what and stick to just that. Don't give him a verity - not only will he be having major diarrhea he would also be hooked and know that there is better tasting food that he can have rather than his plain ole dog food and boy are they smart. They will strave themselfs and make you feel all bad so you feed them the human food. Oh and for human food IF you decide to give him - make sure he earns it...kinda like a treat.
I hope this helps a little. . . . there is so much more on here you can learn. These are just the two that I wished I would have stuck to. Now I'm regretting it. LOL... but I'm not giving up. I just have to train harder.
One last thing - not will you only be training your yorkie.....you gotta be training yourself and others that will deal with him on a dailly basis. |
carrots are the only human food I give my babies and that is for a treat. Baby peas are also good although my babies do not really care for them. Unless they have bad tummies than I heard rice and chicken. Some can be allergic to chicken and grains. My Miracle is allergic to rice and also I heard that rice can bind up the puppy.
Pure pumpkin is good for both constipation and diarehha, not sure why for both but one of the nice folks on this site says it works, I tried it and it does.
Miracle is 4 and had babies in July, we lost one but kept the boy Rebel, he is not 13 weeks and my vet said he is really in his terrible 2's in human age. Let your baby know that you are boss, when they are good and when they are bad, and to make sure no matter what you do, you follow through!!
