My dog's food was taken away by a customs' agent. A few years ago, I brought my family’s dog, a German Shepherded, to the US from Mexico. When we passed through customs, the agent asked us to give up all of her food and told me that we could not bring any food into the US with us. I had to get rid of all of her food. My German Shepherded is not longer with me. Today, my husband and I have a yorkie terrier, Cleo, and we want to travel with her to Mexico. She is on a very strict diet. If we change her diet, she get diarrhea immediately. If she goes with us, we will need to bring her food, how can I ensure that her food is not taken away? I’m not sure I can buy the same type of food in Mexico and I sure do not want to have a puppy with diarrhea either. What should we do? |
