be sure to make the transition slowly- and it can take up to 3 months until you notice the itching stop so don't decide after a month that the food isn't working. If her itching is out of control- you can give her Benadryl. Layla is on it right now for seasonal allergies. She is 7lbs. I buy the 25mg tablets, cut them into 4 and she get 1/4 of a pill every 3-4 hours or as needed. Benadryl can have the side affect of making your dog drowsy but really take the itch away which can be helpful while you are making the transition.
