A month or so ago I had an issue with Leo getting into some fleas. I gave him a bath and a dose of frontline (he got the right at the time he was ready for a new dose). It seemed to kill the fleas, but he was itching like crazy. My vet said that if fleas bite your dog they can itch up to 2 weeks, they suggested I give him half a bennedryl and that helped to stop the itching. If none of that is getting rid of the fleas you may want to go to another vet. I was told that the vet can give your dog a pill that will kill all insects on them immediately. I am sure it is not something good to use often, but if this is a really bad situation that is what it is for. |
