I have a 4 year old granddaughter that always wants to play with Ginger. The rules are that she is never to pick her up and that she is to sit on the floor and pet her. Of course I do not ever leave them unsupervised. Kids are unpredictable (well at least all I have ever been around) and you never can tell what might happen. If the child got a little scratch or even started giving kisses and the kid didn't like it they could very easily just throw them down.
That was a wonderful thing that you did with Harley. Our babies don't have to be perfect to love them (just like our husbands).
