Right now, our applications are way down! I have spoken with other rescues who are having the same issue. I am sure it is the economy.
We are getting more and more owner surrenders and so many are in the shelters as well. I also have a lot more fosters than I would like (7) and cannot take any more in. Finding foster homes is very hard. People want to do it, but not everyone can. It is a huge job as you well know. |
This just kills me. I want a sister for Buddy and hope it to be a rescue.
I finally filled out, once again, an application to a rescue who has
for the past year, sent me updates weekly on available pups. I heard back
about three hrs. later telling me they had more pups than applications!
So look elsewhere
It has to be the right fix of course but give me
a chance for heaven's sake.
It seems that west coast and middle states, pups are in abundance
but here in the NY area they don't want to know you!
