I haven't dealt with this with Joey or Tank, but my husband had pancreatitis a couple months back. It's EXTREMELY painful, and they actually didn't let him have anything whatsoever for 24 hours while they pumped fluids through him as an inpatient at the hospital. Then, they put him on clear liquids for a day, then bumped him up to a bland diet. He hasn't had any issues since (knock on wood!), but I assume it's gonna be a similar thing with dogs. Good luck!
