I have done this for a vacationing neighbor when they had a Yorky. They gave me a key to their home and I made sure she had food, water,exercise and love. My hubby would not allow indoor dogs at the time, so this method worked out for both of us. Their little dog would not eat much when her family was not around and they didn't want to leave her at the vets for this reason,(no 24/7 help). |
My mom goes to school about 5 mins away but I bet she would find it a hassle to have to do all that. I don't think she would be okay for 5-7 days alone with someone coming by. She is a very social dog and likes to have people around. She does okay being left alone a few hours but she only gets left alone a few hours per week.
