I have a 7 month old male AKC registered yorkie. He's so healthy and playful. His hair is strange though. His beard and ear hair is growing normally, his head stays short and his back is only growing sparingly. Is he just young still? Poor breeding? I'm a wreck with worry.
The vet says some yorkies just don't get long hair. I was worried he wasn't purebred. She says that's not the case. At 7 months old im thinking his hair should be full and growing. It's too thin.
Any advice? Vitamins? I started feeding him Flint River Ranch Puppy food and I shampoo him with Pantene. I doubt the shampoo is the issue I've had Brady for only a month and a half and his coat hasn't changed like it should.
