I have never heard of putting regular sugar in a puppies water...and I still don't see a purpose as you know about Nutri-cal...Nutri-cal does have something in it to make little ones want to eat. |
It is Prescription Diet---that is what the food is called. It has rice and turkey, it is canned food. hey gave me a prescription and I was able to buy it at the pet store. I give him Nutri Cal. The sugar would be to make him want to drink it because it is sweet a little sweet (I only put a teaspoon in it. He got one tiny fast drink a while ago. The Nutri Cal will not hydrate him--he needs to drink more. His fecal was normal, no parvo, blood normal & temp normal. Hopefully, he will scarf down the chicken and rice.
