That sounds so cool, I know where my mom lives in AZ there are lots of lovebirds that have gone wild, didn't realize parrotlets were also flocking around like that  They are originally from South america, so would never survive here in IA for any length of time. We are on the Gulf here....and the parrotlets are from Mexico...on the Gulf side! That is why I guess they are here.
The first time I saw them after I moved here, I was at a Burger King. I got SO excited and got out of the car trying to call them....saying "pretty bird" over and over. I must have looked like a total doofus!
Had moved here from NJ where we did not have pretty birds like that. So..I came home and did some research and found out what they were.
