i had the same exact thing happen to me. with my female. i didnt know enough to ask for the pedigree when i picked her out at that time i never had a pure bred so i had no idea. she went on and on how her dad had champion bloodlines. well i found out the same way i have a 4 generation an no champions. but she too is healthy full of spirits and i think out of the danger zone for hereditary defects the vet say she looks good and shes 7lbs a little bigger then expected but she was tiny when i got her just like yours my vet said most hereditary defects show up around 6 months of age so keep a good eye on her. she is absolutly adorable!!
