Well since fat is squishy, it just gets squished down. Like if you put your hands around your waist and squish inwards, but a corset is your entire waist. if you do ever get one, please get a good quality one. the cheap ones don't last and start to come apart at the seams, and you're not really saving that much money if it doesn't last that long. My first one i had custom made and it was about $300. Then I was cheap but wanted another one and ordered a cheapy one off ebay for $150, it hurts way more, and the seams are stretching out, and they didn't even really make it fit that well. i could have done better myself, but was just being lazy.
