Apple is 11 months old, and still has two top canine teeth (along side of her adult teeth)...The vet said we would have to pull them at 1 yr. old, if they weren't out...I was soooooo planning not to spay Apple 'till she was 18 months old, but I'm at a loss as what to do now...She needs those teeth out next month, and, ideally, it would be best to spay at the same time, but I so wanted to wait...But in answer to your question, my vet said you could wait 'till they were a year old, but no longer...BTW, his fees are through the roof, so $500 sounds normal to me...I just wish the vets down here in the Houston area weren't so darn expensive...All the best to you and the babe...
