I never heard of the blowing thing. I may have to add that to my technique. I've been giving pills to cats and dogs for, gee, 40yrs. Put the pill as far down their throat as it'll go. Close their mouth and hold their mouth closed while I rub their throat in a down motion 'til they swallow. Never had it not work. Treats, it always seems they don't like the treats or separate the treats or whatnot. So much easier to just pop the pill down their throat and be done with it.
