Wrapping the coat in oil protects it from breaking and keeps it conditioned. I keep him in oil all the time. To grow his coat I comb and massage him in the oil. He loves his daily massage. I think it stimulates the blood flow to the skin and it promotes growth. I have tried read and gather as much information as I can about coat care. There is a ton of info in past threads on YT.
