Sounds like you are a great mom to a perfectly healthy rambunctious (sp?) Yorkie!!! I crate mine for nap time too.....just like a child....it is good for both of us!!! My 3 pups play like crazy, get to a point where they do their own thing, refuse to take a nap if they are out....and don't get upset when I put a little kibble in their individual crates and put them down for "nap time". I need it by then just as much as they do. You probably experience the same thing. You are not being mean AT ALL.
