Welcome to YT! How does Mr. Lucky travel? In a cage, pet seat or loose in the vehicle. Sometimes a yorkie can feel overwhelmed by too much room to roam. Perhaps if your wife could hold him and cuddle him even sing to him he might settle down. We travel with our Sophie in a pet car seat and she just curls up and sleeps because it is small and secure. It's a pet view car seat that sits up high so she can see out of the window. These seats come with a sewn in leash that attaches to the dog harness. It works beautifully.
