It is LP luxating patella. The vet didn't sound too concerned? That in itself sounds concerning! They have four grades of it. 1 is the least 4 is the worst. 4 needs surgery defintely, 3 is debatable. Uni has grade 3. We have her on glucosamine supplements which are helping a lot. it's called Cosequin. Many people here on YT use it with great results.
Go to another vet and please have him diagnose what level your pup has. It is not something they outgrow. It is something they are born with.
