OK, people may hate me for saying this... but I must admit, it does irritate seeing little Yorkies being held what seems ALL the time. I totally understand in certain situations having to pick up your dog, like lovespandp stated across the intersection, or if a big dog approaches, or if in a large crowd of people, I 100% understand picking up your dog in these cases. OR, if a dog just had surgery, or has LP, or something, therefore I would never ever in a million years make a comment to anyone ever because you never fully know the situation. But I DO think dogs should walk and do think sometimes people go overboard. My friend has a new little Yorkie pup, who can't even be 4 pounds yet and she walked for nearly two hours (over a mile for sure) at a good paced speed around our neighborhood circle perfectly fine. So, I can see where the general public is coming from, thinking "oh these little dogs are just carried and babied all the time..." but because I know more about the Yorkie breed and owning one, I can also understand a lot more than the average person. Besides that, I'm not the kind of person to make rude comments to anyone about anything. And believe me, my 12.5lb Jackson is as spoiled as anything, but he's all dog and loves living his life as a dog, lol, you can tell. He's capable of going up to other dogs, saying his "hey" and loves to run around, etc. He doesn't cling to my legs the entire time we're out; however, if I leave a room, he's crying and wanting me back. So he's a big baby too but I've also let him know it's OK to be a dog! And I mean *NO* offense in this post. I hope nobody takes it the wrong way. I'm just saying the other side of things.

Brister, no one is going to hate you for your opinion Its when people (meaning not you) judge your situation and don't know the facts, We were on holiday with Tia and she walked 13 miles in one hot day and 5 min from our apartment I picked Tia up and comments were made by passer bys.
I can't be bothered to explain any more , people are who they are.
