There are too many bad breeders out there interested only in money! They do need to be stopped. If you readily found 4 others with the same experience of getting sick puppies that she would not stand behind, you can believe that is only the tip of the ice berg! How any breeder ould be so callous to blame a car ride or new owner for their puppies being sick is beyond me.
You need to get the word out -- that is the only way to stop people from buying from her right now. Are the pups AKC? If so, report all of your experience and try to get the 4 others to do so as well, to AKC. They have an investigative unit and they will respond to your complaints. Depending on how busy, they might come out and inspect her operation. If they find sick puppies and substantiate problems, they may ban her from AKC so that she cannot register any more litters.
I would post her name along with actual facts of your experience. Word it carefully so that you are not giving opinions on her, just the absolute facts. Try to get the other 4 to post their experience as well. There are also several sites where people can post bad sales experiences of any kind -- like ripoffreport.com. I would send a detailed, factual report to your local dog fancier's club, any local YorkshireTerrier Clubs, etc. It may not shut her down, but at least those doing some research will be able to have warning about her.
Bless you for hanging in there with your little one and getting her healthy and well-cared for. Sorry you had to go through such an experience right off the bat. Look forward to hearing more about Pix! |
