Hi; I'm so sorry you lost your baby. There is nothing that can prepare us in getting ready to lose one's precious companion, even if they're old, or sick. They always make us smile, so it's unthinkable to be able to see ourselves without the joy they bring us.

I lost my bunny Mimi in June (I had her for 6 yrs); she was so healthy and all of a sudden got a tooth infection and because of her liver and kidney values and her size (she was about 1 lb and 6 inches long- a Dwarf bunny) they couldn't operate to make her better, so instead I tried everything I could to see if I could make her well, when instead I had to watch her get so bad that my husband made the hard decision of putting her to sleep during a 2 day business trip. It was such a hard experience for me, because she was my baby, and nothing or no-one could understand her meaning to me, she was not just a pet that could be replaced.

I cried every single night for hours, this lasted about a month and a half, and then I thought of getting the puppy I had wanted to get for years. I found Chloe, and everything has turned bright again for me.

She does not erase the pain I felt for Mimi, nor the memories, but she does fill the void and emptyness I felt when my home was empty without my little Mimi.

I believe a new puppy will help you cope through this experience, and re-live all of the wonderful , beautiful moments you hd with your little one.

I hope you find peace in knowing she will always be your little girl, and I'm sure no one else could have given her a happier, better life than you did.

Hugs,
Meli & Chloe
