Sushi's little maltese brother, Mr. Big, has been kinda coughing for the last couple of days. Is that something I should take him to the vet IMMEDIATELY, or should I wait it out?
In case it helps, here's some more information: He is very tiny, under 3 lb, and that's why I always worry to death when the slightest thing is up. He is 2.5 yo. The coughing happens usually when he gets up to walk around, or when he gets a bit worked up. It almost sounds like he is sniffing hard, ot trying to clear his nose or something. Don't even know if it's actually a doggy cough or not. Not sure if it's only a coincident or it's related to the fact thart I have been recovering from a bad cold myself for the past week or so. Can they catch things from us???? He is the one that always has to be close to me, on my lap, on my chest at night, very very close to me, so I wouldn't be surprised if he caught it from me (if it's at all possible).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS: Hope it's ok to post about my maltese on a yorkie forum. Problem is, i haven't found a maltese forum as wonderful as this yorkie forum.
