I cannot claim "expert" status but I am now the proud owner of my fourth Yorkie who is becoming a wonderful companion to my five year old male (the new pup is female). In viewing the photos and thinking back on the many, many Yorkies I have met, known and loved as well as the pictures I have viewed, I am willing to guess with a 95% belief that you have a Yorkie rather than a Silky. I base this on his face, the length of his snout and his expressions, as I am sure you have heard, Yorkies can wind up way out over the breed standard as far as weight goes, and we love them all the same (my girl is likely to be huge even though I know she is full-blooded) so weight isn't necessarily an indicator, it just means you don't have a show dog... Yep, I would say your gorgeous boy is Yorkie - the eyes have it in my opinion - of course that's all it is - my opinion, but he looks very happy and healthy and very well loved! Those are the things that matter! Yorkie love! |
