I think no matter what it's going to be a matter of personal taste and opinion. My thought is that if you're feeding a high-quality, all life stages food that they'll actually eat, it's better than a puppy food that they won't eat (or that they're allergic to!)

Stella was on Royal Canin Puppy Food when I got her at 15 weeks. She liked that a LOT but it was making her really itchy (I presume it was the corn, but who knows)...so I switched her to Natural Balance at about 5.5 or 6 months...but she didn't like that so much, and I was always having to mix canned Wellness puppy food with it. I've recently switched her to Taste of the Wild Wetlands (so goes crazy for duck in any form, so I figured she might like it), but she's not used to the bigger bites so I still have to soften it with a little bit of canned food--maybe we'll try something in small bites next time (she loved the sample of Innova Red Meat that the guy at Luke's gave us!)

My only concern with feeding TOTW or another all life stages food to a puppy is that the bites might be too big if the food doesn't come in a small bites size, and then you might end up having to soak the food all the time so they can eat it. Also, I learned from Stella that messing with their food while they're teething can be a bit difficult because they might already be extra-fussy to begin with. So maybe wait until after that stage to switch? Good luck, hope you can easily find something your pup likes!
