Yes, preop bloodwork on all dogs is best as is an IV and surgery done on a heated surface.

The tooth pulling shouldn't cause too much pain because the pain meds that the vet puts her on for her spay (which he/she should do) will take care of it. You can feed canned food if you want.
I totally agree and bloodwork in my opinion is a must.

I have had dogs come home and start playing right away and also eat hard food. I do think it is a little harder on the girls so just make sure you have a warm comfy bed in a special spot for her away from a lot of traffic..she will sleep better and tomorrow she will almost be back to herself. Make sure you leave water and food by her.
