My Prada was spayed last year at 6 months of age, she was 5.7 pounds, I had a blood panel done before the surgery, just to make sure she was fine. the only other thing I can suggest is go and buy a pack of 3 onesies the ones the babies wear make a slit for the tail and have them ready for when she comes home, I did not like the cone shape thingy they put to keep her from licking her stiches and the onesie worked wonderfully. I got Prada the 0-3 months size and it was great, I keept it in one until the stiches were disolved and she checked ok.. I only removed it for her to go potty.
