Not to sound awful - but you seem REALLY stressed out. I'm sorry for your illness but dogs do sense stress and flipping out over his behavior will never help him - it may just make him worse. He needs patience and consistency....if that doesn't work for you - then maybe you should think of re-homing him so someone can work with him - your plate just may be too full to handle a puppy,
Dogs sense weakness, and they will turn on a weak pack member. If one is not physiclly and emotionally strong enough to hold the pack leader role then the dog will take over.

But seeing as he was never in a stable pack of dogs, he does not know how to be a good pack leader. So now what you have is instasbility trying to control instability.

Not good. I think even Cesar would agree, that in your circumstances, it might be better to get a more stable dog.

You already have more stress than someone your age should have to deal with, the added stress of an unstable dog is probably not what is best for you at this time.

May the Lord make you strong enough to make the right decision.
