I remember when our beloved 13 year old beagle was being seen for a huge mast cell tumor. The vet had just told me his blood was now full of mast cells and it wouldn't be long before we would need to put him down. There I was in one exam room waiting for the vet to come back in and overhearing the s.o.b. in the next room complaining that he wanted to put his two year old golden down because the vet had diagnosed diabetes. The creep didn't want the expense or hassle of giving the dog shots. I remember I started to cry wishing to God I could trade places with him. I wouldn't have minded giving our baby shots and I sure wouldn't have minded the expense. It just seemed so unfair. Oh how I wanted to tell him off.
