I know waiting for answers sucks, but I guess I can understand where the doctors office is coming from if you waited that long to be seen. I don't think it has anything to do with it just being a finger. |
It may be just a finger but it's my finger and it hurts. I see what you are saying but the girl who answered the phone and the girl at the x-ray place don't know that. I told the dr only. To them I may have a broken index finger. They don't know when it happened. I think it is a terrible policy of notifying patients who have been sent for lab work. I mean it is either broken or not this is not rocket science. I could tell on a x-ray if it see a fracture. I know what's another day but it is MY finger and I want to know. Everyone was prompt in taking my money but when I ask for conclusions I have to wait for the mail!!!. I called back again at 6:15 and she told me she still had not recieved the to fax. it doesn't take 2 hours to send a fax. especially when I just talked them and they said have the dr call. The receptionist said she will try to call them and have them fax the results. It is now 10:32 pm and still no call. At this point I don't even care anymore. I should have just chalked it up and not said anything. If they call with results whatever I'm over it. When the doctor asked me what happened I really didn't know. My dh thinks it might be a stress fracture. I absolutly can not open a water bottle with that hand. Don't think it is arthritis. The dr said to me that if it was broken I would know it unless I was in a drunken stuper at the time. I thought that was very inappropriate to say to me. I knew I should not have complained.
