thanks for the wisdom and for being patient as i learned these lessons. i always tried to agree and learn from everyone. but sometimes i felt backed into a corner and my only choice was defensiveness. i'm glad i put my gloves down and actually took it all to heart. you were always just trying to help and i was ignorant at the time and didn't want to be corrected, the exact same way others now feel when i might suggest a new training method to their ignorant ears. it doesn't always go over well at first, but through kindness and persistence i hope to make a few breakthroughs.

thanks Nancy!!
Well, I must admit, your post shocked me; I never thought my posts could scare the death out of people. Lol, I'm going to have to be more careful, I don't want to scare people into changing! One of the reasons I love Yorkietalk is that we are exposed to a wide segment of the population, not only the United States, but people from all parts of the world, and such diversified backgrounds. We all share a love for this wonderful breed, and we want to do right by them, and I do think too many of us forget we are on the same team.

I'm glad you are willing to consider other people opinions, and this means that you will continue to grow as a person. Never stop learning, that's when you really get old! You have many qualities that will make you an excellent advocate for dogs and improving their kennel conditions, and I hope puppy mills are a thing of the past when you are my age! You also realize how it doesn't help at all to receive a post that just makes you feel defensive, and so the pressure is on you to reply with posts that don't do that, and set a good example for the rest of us!
