Yes it just depends on what the owner likes. I have a 3 yr old girl who I keep her body cut short but keep the top knot on her head. The groomer cut it off and cut the hair on her face so short that is taking forever to grow back. It has now been 4 months and her top knot is not long enough to put up without pieces falling in here eyes! I didn't get too upset at the time but very upset right now wondering when it will get long enough! My other two keep full coats and only trimmed when the hair sweeps the floor. I cut #1 because her texture is different than my other 2 and doesn't lay as pretty. I tip #1's ears but have not tipped the other 2. I have thought about it though...
