never listen to anyone who says "its a boy thing" or a "girl thing" with a yorkie because with yorkies, its never one or the other. its almost always choice.
boys wear topknots. and bows.
girls sometimed have their hair cut and don't have topknots
both have their ear tips shaved (or not if you don't like it)
if you aren't in the show ring, it doesn't matter so much.
