Robin, I am so very sorry to hear the sad saga of Ginger. It does sound like she is a fighter, which is a huge plus for you.

If she decides that she won't eat the Hills LD food or the dry kibble, you might check with your vet about home cooking. Hills has home cooked version recipe for ALL of their specialty foods that they make available to vets.
