Best Friends Society
has some great reading on BSL (breed specific legislation) and LOTS of info about Pitbulls (they are the charity that took in Michael Vick's Pitbulls and rehabilitated them w/ lots of TLC).
I used to think the same, and stuck up for the pits. It only took seeing the still ragged and horribly colored wounds of a child to change my mind. I have seen the wounds of a shark attack too and they looked a lot less sickening.

I don't envision there ever being a time when someone would want to spay and neuter all dogs. It is difficult enough to get legislature to spay and neuter known dangerous breeds that were started for the pure pleasure of watching them kill. But I am thankful there are some communities making it happen.

Wow -- I think this is the first time I have disagreed with you, Ann. But only respectfully so.
