You can try the yoplait but the probiotics have much more healthy bacteria. Make sure it's not a diet yoplait with any artificial sweeteners.

If his tummy is rumbling and his stools are covered in mucous, his intestinal flora is likely way out of whack and yogurt is simply not going to do that much. If you have a whole foods nearby, you could try a liquid probiotic for infants and sometimes they carry an "acidophilus for dogs".

Probiotics will clear it up much much faster than the yoplait and get your dog back on track before you need flagyl (metronidazole) which just causes other issues.

Not sure what you can find at this hour but if you are on the west coast, these places might be open still.
