Alot of Yorkies do it from over excitement, so try to be calm when those times come around and see if you can get the instances to be less and less.

The honking in a resting position is more to be worried about. If that starts to happen a lot then you can take him into the Vet. But if they remain far and few, I would bring it up to the Vet at your next visit.

My Roxy did it alot when she was around 2.5 - 3 yrs old (they say allergies start around 3, that is if they are gonna start to be allergic). She is now almost 5 and really hasn't had any true episodes in quite some time now.
