That makes training easy when you can catch them.. I pick them up... take them outside and say go potty outside... and I use outside each time we are going out.. always being as consistant as possible with words and how you do it.. again patience.. but being patient is the most important... for with consistency becomes habit.. and if your making this a good habit.. it will come to him.. some are quicker then others.. I have a stud male that goes outside.. for this is what we do.. and at night I use a belly band.. and he will even at times use the potty pad... but I have had him 6 months and I just do not get mad.. that makes things worse...hope this helps... anne
