Welcome! You are at the starting gate of an adventure that will fill your heart to the brim, and then some. Challenging? Yes, at times a Yorkie can be a handful. Read as much as you can on behavior and training, and stick to it. Our little guy, Sammie, is now 9 years old. It seems like it was only yesterday that we brought him home.
With every month that passes he becomes more and more an extension of my wife and me. What a beautiful little spirit – feisty, loving, jaunty, sensitive, playful, cuddly, happy and full of curiosity and excitement. Thankfully he remains very healthy, and nearly as active as he was when he was a pup. And all he asks of us is to simply be near us, to be with us. He’s a very special little friend.
As you can tell we love him in a way that is impossible to describe. So, be strong, hang in there with the challenges. Your reward will be far greater than you could ever imagine. |
