well in my expeirence most breeders will claim their dogs are the best and they have the best puppies. most will tell you, oh my puppies will be tiny teacups.heres the deal be careful of lying. some will do anything to sell a puppy. stay away from these people.here in florida if you want a teacup you will pay big bucks for her$1,000 and up here. even a good pet quality yorkie will be $800 and upward.one question most people ask is how big are the parents. most will tell you 4 lbs.lol there hardly ever 4lbs. at this point you want to make sure you see the parents for size , temperment, and most importantly how they are being cared for. if you can ask about the puppies pedigree line that would be good too. if your breeder never had a pedigree done then there is now way they are reaserching the pups heritage. this is important for you and your breeder to know.along with the pedigree the parent dogs should of coarse be papered with the akc. your breeder should be able to show you the akc papers of the parents at any time. excuses means irrisponsiblity. no one wants a breeder thats just winging it. find out about genetic traits, vacinations, and ask if they are still in contact with other people that have bought puppies in the past. a good breeder trys to stay in touch with there customers ask if they have pictures from previous litters, if they do then your in luck. this will show what your yorkie will look like. you can also ask what veternarian they use. then call that veterarian and they can tell you alot and they wont lie. its very hard to pick the right breeder. hopefully this has helped but always keep in mind that when you buy a yorkie more then likly you are not getting what you expected. my little girl was supposed to be 5 lbs. she is 7 lbs my male was supposed to be around the same size he is 4 lbs. i have heard horror stories of parent dogs being perfect by breed standard and their babies growing up to be 20lb yorkies. so do your research and pick a reputable breeder. you can pay more money for a garenteed size but when signing the paper work make sure you read it. it will probrably say "size not garenteed." most only garentee their pups agianst hereditary defects that you can find in 72 hours. this is not good cause most defects dont come out until around 6 months of age. just make sure the contract isnt different then what is said. hopefully this helped if i think of more i will let you know
