Default Severe shaking and seizure like symptoms before throwing up

Hi,

When my almost 4 year old Yorkie Enzo vomits, he usually starts shaking and has shaky legs but only until he vomits. Then, he rests for less than ten minutes and goes about business as usual. He does not vomit too frequently but for some reason it usually happens on the weekend when we are home from work. On Saturday morning, he started shaking uncontrollably, lost his balance, and kept raising his arm - his actions were very seizure like. He vomited 3 times and also pooped. He laid against the couch panting for about 5 minutes and then we put him on the couch. The whole episode lasted about twenty minutes and then he was off and running again. The same thing happened one month ago so we of course took him right away to the vet this time. He had blood taken and has been fine ever since. The first time with this severe reaction, he had boiled chicken the night before. This time, on Friday night, he ate his small "Healthy Edibles Nylabone" bone - this new episode occured Saturday morning. The Vet (filling in for our regular) did not believe he was having a seizure - thought it possibly has something to do with his heart.

I have been reading about possible liver problems. Just wondering if any one else's dog has ever had these symptoms? I am still waiting for the test results - I am wondering if my dog was having a problem with protein. However, he has eaten his bones and chicken before on many occasions with no issue. We of course are not going to give him anymore bones or chicken - we want to see if these symptoms occur again. Enzo has not had any other symptoms of liver shunt that I have read.

If anyone has any possible insight, I would appreciate it. I would like to talk to our regular Vet about more possibilities. Thankfully, Enzo has been fine, eating and acting normally ever since the episode occurred.

Thank you.
