My daughter now 29 participated in her first pageant when she was five. We had a great time and she enjoyed every moment of it. She actually won, yes Little Miss Iowa Star. Amie advanced to Nationals in Florida again an awesome time. Amie participated in pageants until she was almost 12. At that time she she wanted to focus on softball.........so we did! Again we had good times, I never forced her. If you have small children you will know it is not hardly possible to force them on stage. But that is just my side of it. Just wanted to let you know there are decent moms, dads, and contestants that are not bad. My daughter is 29 and a functioning mother of three.
