We have another dog, a Husky, but we just had shots updated including one for Kennel cough, because it is required by the groomers we take her too once a year.
Why after two weeks, would this just appear in Wendle?
Can it clear up on it's own? Or does it get worse if not treated? |
Giving the KC vaccine can actually *cause* kennel cough - so did Wendle have the KC vax as well as your other dog?
KC can take weeks and even months to get rid of, and can really interfere w/ sleep. I'd ask the vet for both antibiotics and a good cough suppressant to ease symptoms.
Oddly, in simple words - KC usually happens from the presence of
both a virus and the bordatella bacteria....so antibiotics *can* help, but not always.
